CCDC is in a growth phase, in the midst of experiencing a metamorphosis from a small committee working out of a storage unit in a red county to a vibrant, diverse, welcoming, effective, collaborative winning team taking the county from purple to solid blue. I am excited by the potential in front of us, and I know the Transformation Ticket will work together to achieve a committee that truly supports our candidates from selection all the way to reelection. I look forward to seeing our returning volunteers standing proudly under the Chesterfield Dem banner as we welcome new members to participate and grow this committee to serve the highest good for our county, commonwealth, and country.
Hello all! I’m Nicole “Angel” Subryan and I am a long time progressive activist and Democratic Socialist. I am running to become the 1st Vice Chair of CCDC because I love politics and I want our candidates to WIN! I want to help in that process and in so doing change the face of politics from the same old neocon position to something new that will come after this horrible regime. As a nurse I would love to see Medicare For All because healthcare should not be for profit and is a human right. I want to make this committee younger, more diverse and inclusive of the voices of working people. If you want real change then vote for the Transformation Ticket!
I joined CCDC at the urging of friends. The opportunity to push back against the onslaught of fascist ideation and the number of elected officials spouting such rhetoric was irresistible. I became involved in advocacy groups hoping that doing my small part would have an impact – the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Much of our current situation can be attributed to my generation. We did not keep watch carefully enough having no idea that our democracy could erode to this extent so quickly. I have five grandchildren who deserve better than this, I fight for them.
I am running for 3rd Vice Chair of Membership for the Chesterfield County Democratic Committee to support the overall mission of electing democrats at every level of government. As our volunteer base, CCDC’s membership is critical to that work. My approach to recruitment emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion across race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual identity, and the spectrum of Democratic ideologies. Equally important is supporting membership retention by providing meaningful opportunities for learning, networking, and engagement. Finally, as a part of the Transformation Slate, I will be working to ensure that we are working efficiently, effectively, transparently, and equitably.
As the Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion since 2024, I have been consistently vocal about my observations of pervasive internal systemic issues, toxic behaviors, anti-DEI sentiment, and lack of inclusive practices within the current CCDC executive leadership group. After publicly voicing my concerns earlier this year, my allies and I paid the price by being silenced, punished, and ultimately excluded from participating in a deteriorating leadership group that prioritized “status quo” above “inclusive change”. Now is not the time to repeat the same bad patterns of behavior and expect a younger, more diverse membership! These dark times under a fascist regime require us to change. I am running with the Transformation Ticket to finish what I started in 2024 and to help create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive CCDC. To achieve this, transformational change is needed internally- within the executive leadership. The current CCDC culture must first be transformed to make space for diverse perspectives, experiences, and voices. This starts with a leadership team that is open and willing to learn, adopt new behavioral patterns, prioritize belonging over exclusion, hold each other accountable, and create an inclusive environment for everyone. Join us in this Transformation!
In the modern media landscape I strongly believe that the CCDC can go above and beyond a simple committee and become a hub of information promoting the ideals and candidates of the Democratic party.
No one in Chesterfield County should ever have to ask who we are, where they can find us and how they can participate. As Communication and Technology chair, I will make it my mission to get the word out! Not just about our candidates, but our ideals and our opportunities.
I have 20 years of experience in Technology and have crafted Department Communication strategies at one of the largest Health Companies in the world! I also operate a small private media company. It is time I put my experience to good use.
The year is 2025, it is time we take this party into the future!
One of my passions is writing minutes, maintaining bylaws, and being a resource for Democratic committeemembers to ask questions about how things work. I am a lawyer in private practice and lawyers make good Secretaries, I think!
I am currently the Secretary of the DNC's Southern Region Caucus, which is the caucus of all of the southern states at the Democratic National Committee. I previously served as Secretary of the Fourth Congressional District Democratic Committee and the Secretary of the Richmond City Democratic Committee.
I would be honored to serve as your Chesterfield County Democratic Committee Secretary.
I’m Murti Khan. I have many years of experience on CCDC’s Officer Board having been elected to multiple terms as CCDC’s Treasurer. I transitioned our receipt record to all virtual. Every report I made was balanced to the penny with transparency in mind. I submitted every report to the state on time and made sure to answer any questions about any transactions to any members who asked.
I currently serve as Secretary of the 4th Congressional District Committee in Congresswoman McClellan’s House District.
Anyone who knows me knows that I have a lot of experience in elections and governance at the local and state levels!
